Tight Squeeze on 9th Street
Renovating a classic Fairview row home usually means wrestling with on-street parking on both sides of the block. This customer had piles of lath and plaster sitting in their front room because three other companies refused the delivery. They saw the narrow clearance between a parked minivan and a retaining wall, shook their heads, and drove off, leaving the homeowner with stalled contractors.
We brought in our single-axle hook-lift truck, which we bought specifically for these tight Allentown grids. I spotted the driver while he shimmied the bin into the spot with just inches to spare. We placed heavy wooden cribbing under the rollers to keep the limestone sidewalk intact. By noon, the crew had the living room cleared, and we hauled the full bin away before rush hour.
Elias got the dumpster right where I needed it without blocking my neighbor's driveway.
